What You Can Expect Each Day

Day 1: 9am-5pm at Blue Door Theater

(Included with Track 1 and Track 2)

Morning Session 9am-12pm
- Improv and ice breaker exercises to have fun and build confidence
- Mindset shift exercises to break through fears, doubts & limiting beliefs
- Fundamentals of connection through storytelling
- Public speaking tips & tricks
- Build out your 3-minute storytelling elevator pitch
Lunch Break 12-1pm
Afternoon Session 1pm-5pm
- Practice your 3-minute stories in small groups
- Practice on stage while being coached on body language and stage presence. (Don't let this scare you off. This is part of building confidence. Getting on stage feels scary but it's where the growth happens.)
- This is a safe space to practice with other people who are just as nervous as you.

Day 2: 9am-5pm at a variety of auditoriums & stages

(Required for Track 2. Optional for Track 1 to be in audience and learn.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I am terrified to speak? Is this for me?

You will be in good company. Most people are terrified to speak in public, whether in front of a small group or large groups. Track 1 was designed for you. If Track 2 is still calling your name, despite the fear, we welcome you to join. All of that will break away with practice.

Do I need speaking experience for Track 2?

Not at all. If you know you have something to share but you aren't sure how to craft a talk and you have no speaking experience, Track 2 will provide you with all of the support you need. If you still aren't sure, you can always join start with Track 1 to see if you really want to do it and then join Track 2 for our fall retreat.

Can I upgrade from Track 1 to Track 2 later?

Unfortunately, no. All of our Track 2 participants will have 1:1 sessions with our speaker coaches before the retreat to build out their 10-minute signature talk. You will have the option to upgrade to Track 2 at a discount for our fall retreat.

Are payment plans available?

For Track 1: There is no payment plan option for Track 1.

The $497 is due up front to reserve your spot. We only have 10 spots available, and we anticipate them to fill up quickly.

For Track 2: A non-refundable deposit of $500 is due to reserve your spot. Payment plans can be arranged on a case-by-case basis. Please email [email protected] with subject Payment Plan Options. We are also hosting another retreat in the fall if you aren't able to join this retreat. See details here.

Is lodging and food included?

Since this is hosted in Spokane and most of our participants are local, lodging is not provided. If you are coming from out of town, we have hotels and air bnbs that we can connect you with that will be close to the locations.

We are working on getting lunch sponsors and hoping to provide lunch. As of right now, participants are responsible for bringing their own lunch. We will keep participants updated as it gets closer.

If I am in Track 2 what should I wear?

Great question! I wondered the same thing. You will need at least 3 outfits but we recommend bringing 4 just in case you need a back up or you change your mind.

We want to capture a variety of photos and videos of you on different stages. Be sure to stay on brand with your colors and wear clothes that you feel comfortable in. Being under lights and on stages can get hot, so be mindful of that. If you need styling or branding help, we can get you connected with local resources.

Is there an option to get my makeup done professionally for Day 3 of filming?

Once you register, we will send out a questionnaire to find out if there is interest in this. This is not included in the cost of the retreat. You would pay the make-up artist directly.

I am not able to attend this time. Will there be a future retreat?

We are hosting another retreat in the Fall of 2025. Payment plans are available. When you pay a $500 deposit for Track 2 now, you will secure current pricing and we will plan the retreat around your schedule. Pay your deposit for the fall retreat here.
